Ms. Purviz Banaji came back from her trip abroad, Year was
1962, with the information that a group of Rotaryanns under
the name of Inner Wheel Club were doing commendable service
in U.K.
Thus on 1st July 1963, Inner Wheel Club of Bombay was formed
in R.I. Dist. 315. The founder President was Soona Balsara.
The Chartar was presented on April 13,1964 by Mrs. Reynolds,
wife of the Dy. British High Commissioner. The function was
held at the Taj Mahal Hotel with the Rotary Club of Bombay.

Greetings to the Club members!
It is my great honour as the 50th President to continue The Inner Wheel Club of Bombay’s legacy into its 50th year. The club has a glorious and eventful past, and to keep with our ideals, this year the focus is on the Four Imperatives:
- Work towards a better and greener planet
- Educate and empower the girl child
- Publicize Inner Wheel
- Expand and grow Inner Wheel
My team and myself will continue efforts to truly make it a golden year in the history of our club. It is rightly said,”our deepest need is for the joy that comes with knowing we are of genuine use to others”.
